Procedure for Carpet Bonnet Buffing
Recommended Supplies and Cleaning Equipment:
- Carpet Shampoo
- Floor Machine (175 RPM)
- Spin Bonnet Pads
- Mop Handle
- Wet Mop Head
- Large Mop Bucket and Wringer
- Natural Carpet Cleaning Products
Recommended Method: (No Tank):
As in all cleaning procedures, the first step is to gather the recommended janitorial equipment and supplies together and bring to the area to be cleaned.
- Fill the bucket with ready-to-use carpet shampoo. Wet the spin bonnet pad in bucket and wring out. Place the spin bonnet pad on buffing machine.
Buff the carpet as if you were buffing a hard surface. Flip the buffing pad after 120 square feet. Buff the next 120 square feet.
Remove and rinse the bonnet buffing pad in the bucket and wring it out. Mop excess solution off baseboards.
Repeat procedure until area is complete.Recommended Method: (With Tank):
Fill the tank and bucket with ready-to-use carpet shampoo. Wet the spin bonnet pad in bucket and wring it out. Place the spin bonnet pad on buffing machine.
Buff the carpet, adding solution from tank every 20 square feet. Flip the buffing pad after 250 square feet. Replace the buffing pad after the next 250 square feet.
Mop excess solution off baseboards.
Repeat until all spin bonnet pads are dirty. Rinse all dirty pads and wring them until damp. Start over with first step until area is complete.
Allow time to clean up and return the cleaning equipment to the storage area.
